Victoria B.C. has a very mild climate compared to the rest of Canada. With dry summers and rainy winters, the easy weather would seem ideal for bike rides, but the reality is there is not many cyclists compared to motor vehicles.  If you find yourself driving, walking, or cycling down Pandora street you will most likely notice bike lanes that are separate from the motor vehicle lanes. Victoria is a city where you will see a cyclist or a few while driving, but this does not justify spending millions and millions of dollars for bike lane expansion. There is simply not enough cyclists to be spending so much time, money, and space on bike lanes. We have spent enough money on this and do not need to expand it anymore. The majority of people who commute drive vehicles or take the bus. Bike lanes make it more difficult to do so.
